The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) will bring its members-only ride and drive event back to North Weald airfield in Essex on Monday 24 July, starting at 1600hrs.
As before, attendees will have the opportunity to drive vehicles from various suppliers. Confirmed in attendance thus far are Dawsongroup Bus and Coach, EVM, EvoBus (UK) – which will shortly become Daimler Buses UK – and Volvo.
Previous CPT ride and drive events have attracted what the Confederation says is “hundreds of attendees.” It adds that the 2023 gathering will be “the ideal opportunity to network and catch up with other industry leaders and colleagues.”
Speaking about the event, Regional Manager for London and the South East and the East Midlands Karen Tiley says: “We look forward to welcoming CPT members from all over the UK to what is set to be an exciting afternoon and evening’s activities. With a stellar line-up of manufacturers exhibiting, it is not one to miss.”
Adds Dawsongroup Bus and Coach Regional Sales Manager Chris Mobbs: “The CPT ride and drive event brings together manufacturers and operators from the UK’s coach and bus industry in an informal setting, and it is a valuable platform for reconnecting with familiar faces and making new connections.
“It is a perfect opportunity for operators to experience the broad range of new products showcased by some of the leading coach and bus manufacturers and a great way to stay up to date on the latest developments.”
Entry is free for CPT members but registration via email beforehand is requested. A hog roast and buffet forms part of the event.
