Free event for CTAs and other not-for-profit organisations held on 8 November; will look at varied topics
The Community Transport Association (CTA) will hold a conference in Belfast on 8 November and it invites all members to attend, along with other organisations in Northern Ireland that provide accessible and inclusive transport, such as schools and churches.
It will be staged in association with KPMG and held at The Soloist Building, 1 Lanyon Place, BT1 3LP. Entry is free and there will be a number of presentations and workshops from both CTA staff and external speakers.
In the morning, delegates will be able to choose between two breakout sessions. One will look at the Department for Transport’s consultation on section 19 and section 22 permits in Great Britain and how that will read across to legislation in Northern Ireland.
Alternatively, attendees may take part in a session aimed at small organisations that own a minibus. It will examine current legislation concerning driver licencing as well as how to operate safely and legally.
In the afternoon, visitors can choose to participate in a discussion that will help them to get to grips with drivers’ hours and tachographs, or find out what the CTA can do for them. Other content will include how to engage with politicians and a Q&A panel.
