Coach operator Daish’s Holidays has reported that since moving to TruTac for tachograph analysis and fleet support software in January, it has seen a 50% reduction in driver infringements and greatly improved compliance control.
TruTac’s software has been developed in conjunction with the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) and it is specific to the coach and bus industry.
Daish’s uses CPT Tacho Analysis, CPT Daily Checks and TruLicence. 19 of its 23 coaches are connected to the system using TruTac’s remote downloading boxes and ‘next day’ reporting of key information.
Transport Manager Bryan Maddern says that by doing that, Daish’s has halved infringements and is now able to address performance-related issues immediately.
“The CPT Daily Checks driver app is also a massive improvement,” he says. “Using the app, our drivers can go through routine checks and keep us informed of any repairs or vehicle issues that require attention.
“Among other things, they can also view the traffic status, which is a major help.”
TruLicence allows Daish’s to immediately check and review all driver licence history, points, and validity. It has proved particularly useful with new starters.
