Reading Buses driver Darcey Harrington has successfully completed her first sky dive, raising over £1,000 for Autism Berkshire – the company's charity of the year.
“The best part was definitely the freefall,” she says.
“I only felt scared near the beginning when the instructor asked me how high I thought we were – I said about 13,000 feet and we had only just got to 2,000 feet.”
It took 12 minutes to get Darcey up to her jump height of 15,000 feet and just seven minutes to get her back to the ground again.
Says Caroline Anscombe: "It's big congratulations to Darcey from us all at Reading Buses – she has done really well. She carries on the tradition of our great people raising money for the charity of the year and we hope that many more of our employees continue to do so.”
