First Bus and Lothian were among the winners at the Prolific North Marketing Awards, held in Leeds on 24 October.

Lothian won “Best In-House Marketing Team”, while First Bus was credited in connection with “Best Medium-Budget Campaign” and “Best Integrated Campaign”.

The awards recognised the best creative talent, campaigns and agencies in Scotland and Northern England.

Lothian triumphed over nine other shortlisted nominees, including The Beatles Story and Forbes Solicitors.

Gaynor Marshall, Communications Director for the Edinburgh operator, says: “I am absolutely delighted that the team have been recognised in their field for their talent, creativity and dedication. Every campaign we write, design and deliver aims to promote our products and services, and shine a light on the vital role that Lothian plays in our community.”

First Bus was joined by the Jack Ryan agency in collecting the “Integrated Campaign” award for their combined work on the “Driving Britain’s Buses” campaign.

The campaign celebrated drivers, engineers, and other staff as part of its recruitment drive.

According to Jack Ryan, “’Driving Britain’s Buses’” didn’t just fill vacancies, it shifted perceptions, boosted engagement, and repositioned First Bus as a modern, progressive employer with a proud social purpose.”

Route Agency was the co-recipient with First Bus on the the “Best Medium Budget” award for its “Responsive Ads Driving Passenger Growth” campaign.

Tangerine Communications, whose many clients in the past year have included Stagecoach, was crowned winner of “PR Agency of the Year”.
