GM Coachwork Minibus Sales Specialist Jeff Caswell has presented a brand-new, wheelchair-accessible Peugeot Boxer-based minibus finished by the Devon convertor to Albion in the Community (AITC), the official charity of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.
It will play an important role in the work that AITC does both locally and nationally for players of all ages and abilities. One requirement of the new minibus was that it had to be accessible, as it will be used to transport players who require a wheelchair.
AITC is the largest provider of disability football in Sussex, and it gives people of all ages and abilities the chance to take part of the sport.
AITC runs various football sessions for people of all ages, including for people with Down’s syndrome, a hearing impairment, or those who are partially sighted.
New sessions are planned for those on the autistic spectrum, players with cerebral palsy and/or those who require a walking frame, players who are deaf, and anyone who has dyspraxia.
The handover took place at the American Express Community Stadium in Falmer, home of the football club which was promoted to the Premier League last season.
