Wimborne minicoach operator takes plaudits for being best of its kind at industry’s leading ceremony
Homeward Bound Travel triumphed in the category for Excellence in Minibus Operation at the prestigious routeone Awards, held by the sister title to miniplus on the first evening of Coach & Bus UK.
In a very strong field, Homeward Bound just pipped Chester-based BusyBus, Passenger Plus of Kent and White’s St Albans to the coveted award.
The judging panel – which is made up of highly-respected road passenger transport professionals – noted: “Our winner has maintained a steady path over several years without wavering from its aim of guaranteeing satisfied customers.”
The award was presented to Homeward Bound by miniplus Editor Tim Deakin, and Director Louisa Morgan reports that while winning was a delight, the rest of the show was no disappointment.
“There was a good representation on the mini and midicoach front. Seating suppliers are always top of my list of exhibitors to visit as the show is a great opportunity to compare comfort and quality side-by-side.
“We also researched cameras (both inward- and outward-facing) on various stands so seeing the software and the quality of the playback was a bonus. Chatting and catching up with like-minded operators and friends is what a show visit is all about, so CBUK served its purpose perfectly.”
