The Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) holds its third Bus and Coach Engineering Seminar on 19 September.

The seminar sees UK engineering leaders come together to find out the most cost-effective and reliable options for compliance.

The confirmed speakers include:

  • Ian Foster, Metroline
  • Stuart Cottrell, Alexander Dennis
  • David Yorke, Tower Transit
  • Matthew Bloxham, Arriva
  • Collin Field, Bath Bus Company
  • Tom Druitt, The Big Lemon
  • Mike Kerslake, BYD.

The topics to be covered include the whole life costs of alternative fuel buses; real-life experience of Euro 6 buses; infrastructure for electric and hydrogen fuel cell fleets; how bus engineering will change as customer expectations evolve; and how the bus industry needs to prepare for the new ISO 26262.
