Decade of success is followed by firm’s sale to current owner’s brother; continued growth is planned

Klarners Coaches was established in 2009; it now operates seven vehicles

Essex operator Klarners Coaches has been sold by founding directors Trevor and Helen Klarner to Mr Klarner’s brother Graham in a deal that the company says will allow it to continue to grow.

The business was established in 2009 with one coach that was used on holiday duties on behalf of other companies, before the fleet grew and different avenues of work were taken on. In 2015, day trips, excursions and Klarners’ own holiday programme were added.

“I am proud and excited to assume ownership of Klarners Coaches,” says Graham Klarner. “Over the last decade, my brother has built a solid, respectable business that has served thousands of travellers in the UK and Europe.

“As the new owner, I will continue his legacy of providing affordable, customised travel solutions with an eye towards excellence and an attention to detail.”

Graham Klarner joined the Colchester-based business in 2015. Since then, he has been responsible for a number of areas, including bookings and quotations, group tours, excursions and administrative matters related to journeys outside the UK. He has a background in accounting, sales and customer service. Trevor and Helen Klarner will remain involved during a transition period.

“From the beginning, our desire was to provide a unique luxury travel experience focused on excellence, safety and personal service for every passenger,” adds Trevor Klarner. “We have become known for delivering superior customer service, upholding the highest standards of safety and maintenance in our operations, and offering a comprehensive fleet of luxury vehicles.”

Klarners’ fleet is made up of seven coaches: Three Setras, two Mercedes-Benz Tourismos and one Sprinter minicoach, and a Yutong TC9 that is fitted out as a 28-seat corporate vehicle.
