Lancashire County Council has announced that all its school bus contracts (fare paying or closed contracts) will be tendered for PSVAR-compliant vehicles only for single and double-decker buses from July and, and for PSVAR coaches from 1 January 2020.
Under current law, only routes open to the public are required to be PSVAR compliant.
It is understood that existing contracts remain unchanged.
