London Zoo coach park closed

The coach park at ZSL London Zoo is now closed.

Only set-down and pick-up is available, and coaches are being directed to on-street facilities elsewhere.

This is to make way for HS2 works.

The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) is working with the Zoological Society of London to explore alternatives. It is also asking its members to let it know if the closure results in cancellations of group bookings, so it has evidence of the impact.

The CPT says: “For the industry, already under pressure following extensive losses of coach parking in the area, this has come as a bitter blow albeit one which was expected at some stage.

“It has been known that the current site was required for HS2 works but the short notice given, when many trips for next year will already have been booked on the assumption of parking being available, will inevitably cause problems. It is particularly disappointing as the alternatives hoped for have yet to materialise.”
