Managing Director of Volvo Bus UK and Ireland Nick Page will retire in December after 26 years of working with the Swedish marque.
He joined Volvo Financial Services in 1995 from HSBC and was Retail Coach Director between 2006 and 2012. He was subsequently appointed MD, succeeding Steve Dewhurst on the latter’s retirement.
Says Nick: “I have had 26 incredible years with the Volvo family, with my nine years leading the team at Volvo Bus being particularly memorable.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work in a very special industry that plays an important – and yet unsung – role in society and the wider economy. It is an industry where innovation and change are part of its DNA, and I am proud of the role that Volvo continues to play in shaping and delivering positive change for our customers and passengers alike.
“With a talented and experienced team at Warwick, a great dealer network and some very exciting product and service developments in the wings, I feel that now is the right time to pass on the baton to the next leadership generation. I will naturally be staying on to the end of the year to ensure that the handover process will be as smooth as possible.”
During his time at the head of Volvo Bus UK and Ireland, Nick oversaw the introduction of Volvo Electromobility to the British Isles as well as the debut of new generation 9700 and 9900 integral coaches. He also continued Volvo Buses’ support for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which has raised over £260,000 since 2009.
An announcement on a successor to Nick Page will be made later in the year, Volvo advises.
