Arriva North West has taken delivery of nine Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based Mellor Strata low-floor minibuses.
Four are running in Winsford and the remainder in Macclesfield. They seat 22 and have synthetic leather-trimmed seats, wi-fi and USB charging points.
“We looked at a wide range of potential vehicles that would be suitable for use on these routes. The Strata gives a very good first impression by being much more bus-like that others on the market,” says Mark Wynne, General Manager at Arriva Winsford.
Fuel returns have proved to be 18mpg so far, adds Mr Wynne.
