Oxford Bus Company (OBC) has partnered with some of Oxfordshire’s top attractions to create special rates for passengers via its app.
Destinations such as Carfax Tower, The Story Museum and Didcot Railway Centre, as well as cafes, restaurants, other experiences and luxury cosmetic products are offering discounts to bus users who present either a valid or recently expired mobile bus ticket via the app.
All ticket purchases on the Oxford Bus mobile app qualify.
Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, says: “We’re truly fortunate to be part of such a diverse county with world-famous tourist destinations, independent businesses and local attractions to offer something for everyone.”
“Exclusive offers available to users of our mobile app will not only unlock outstanding value for people looking for days out this summer, but also enable us to support local independent businesses.
“We’re pleased to partner with such a wide selection of organisations and encourage other operators interested in featuring to get in touch with our team. Thousands of people use our services each day; this is another way in which we can link them to what Oxfordshire has to offer.”
Other participating businesses include Jacobs & Field, Bygone Boating, Sunnyhill Vineyard, Didcot Railway Centre, Coco Noir, Cornfield Bakery, George & Davis, George & Delila, Oxford Town Hall Cafe, Bean & Brew, Gravitee Adventure Golf, Colombia Coffee Roasters and Oxford Soap Co.
“Our app is designed to make bus travel easier for all passengers,” adds Mr Marion. “The technology helps customers plan routes to their destination, find nearest bus stops to where they’re located and source the latest travel information in real time.
“We’d encourage users of all our services to take advantage of it and make the most of the latest offers in partnership with Oxfordshire’s businesses.”
