Godiva Travel Group of Coventry has purchased the trading business of Oxfordshire coach and minicoach operator OMC Global.
OMC Global will continue to trade under its existing brand as part of Godiva Travel Group, supported from operating centres in Oxford and Coventry. Sale marks “the next chapter” for the business, which was founded in 2006 with one vehicle by Jas Singh and his wife Baljit. It now holds a standard international O-Licence authorising 30 vehicles.
The operator’s modern fleet is utilised on a variety of work including school services, corporate and private hire, and tours. Mr Singh is also the founder of coach and minicoach management platform Savari, which leverages his earlier experience at OMC Global before a shift in focus to the technology field.
Speaking about the sale, Mr Singh says: “After building OMC Global over the past 20 years, it was important to find the right home for the business.
“We wanted someone who shared our family values, commitment to customers, and passion for the coach industry. We believe that Godiva Travel Group is the right fit, and wish Randeep Singh and the whole team every success for the future.”

Godiva Travel has a similarly modern and diverse fleet to OMC Global. Randeep Singh, who is director of the purchaser, notes how the Coventry operator has built a strong reputation, with the acquisition bolstering the group’s presence across the Midlands and Oxfordshire while ensuring continuity for OMC Global customers and employees.
“We are delighted to welcome the [OMC] team into the Godiva Travel Group, and look forward to investing in the business while continuing to provide the high level of service customers expect,” Randeep Singh continues. Godiva Travel has a standard international O-Licence authorising 25 vehicles.
