Roydon-based Galleon Travel has taken delivery of its first vehicles from Alexander Dennis (ADL), a pair of brand-new 9.7m Enviro200 buses. They will be used on the operator’s Central Connect bus services.
Galleon Travel says the buses will enhance partnerships with local authorities and deliver lower emissions to the communities it serves. They each seat 34 and are fitted with LED headlights, USB charging points, CCTV and wood effect flooring. A further two Enviro200 buses will join the fleet later in the year.
PSV Transport Systems, which distributes Aesys destination screens, worked with Ticketer to develop a real time passenger information system adapted to Galleon Travel’s requirements.
“We’re delighted to be adding these vehicles to our bus hire fleet, to help us offer even further choice and quality to our customers,” says Galleon Travel Managing Director Matt Bowden.
Adds ADL Sales Account Manager Mark Taylor: “We’d like to thank Galleon Travel for this first order with us. These new buses will be a great addition to its fleet and we look forward to supplying further vehicles in October and the future.”
