The appointment of a dedicated, Ireland-based sales manager has delivered excellent result for Plaxton, says the manufacturer.
It has also placed a Panther demonstrator in Ireland and that has benefited its performance in the retail sector there, says General Manager Coach Sales Simon Wood. “Having a permanent presence in Ireland has made a massive difference,” he adds.
Plaxton is currently completing a batch of coaches for Dublin operator Aircoach and in 2019 it will also supply a batch of vehicles to Matthews Coach Hire of Co Monaghan.
Among them will be a Panorama double-decker on Volvo B11RLE chassis, the first to be built for an Irish operator.
“Our product range is the most versatile in the market, and that is another reason for our success in Ireland,” says Mr Wood.
