The Remembrance message is being carried around Yorkshire and Lancashire on 139 buses specially decorated with large-sized commemorative poppies to mark the centenary of World War One ending.
The poppies will be prominently displayed on the front of the Transdev Blazefield vehicles on routes covering hundreds of miles across the North of England. Serving members of the Armed Forces will also be able to travel free on any Transdev bus service on Remembrance Sunday, 11 November.
“This year’s Remembrance has additional significance, marking 100 years since the end of WWI, and so felt it was right to increase our support for the excellent work done by the Royal British Legion,” says Alex Hornby, Transdev’s CEO.
