My Name is Prince, the first official exhibition about the iconic songster Prince, will open at the O2 in London on 27 October.

The exhibition will give fans the chance to get up close and personal with the music legend’s life and work at the 21-day retrospective exhibition, celebrating the legacy of one of pop music’s most influential figures, Prince Rogers Nelson.

It will showcase never-before-seen artefacts direct from his famous Minnesota private estate, Paisley Park, including:

  • Clothing from the 1984-1985 Purple Rain tour and the 1988-1989 LoveSexy tour
  • Wardrobe from the 1990 film, Graffiti Bridge
  • Gibson L65 guitar used on American Bandstand in 1980
  • The original bass that was the inspiration for the Cloud guitar
  • The orange cloud guitar made for Prince’s 2007 Super Bowl halftime performance
  • Diamond studded cane from 2015
  • The Raspberry Beret cloud suit from 1985.

The limited 21-day run reflects the 21 sold-out concerts that Prince played at the O2 in August-September 2007 – a record that still stands today.
