Municipal operator Reading Buses has won three Slough Borough Council tendered services, taking over from First, on 20 January.
The routes it is taking over are: 5 (daytimes), 4 (evenings) and 6 (Sundays).
It is recruiting drivers and will be setting up a low-cost outstation in the town. Part of the firm’s ‘pan Berkshire’ approach, the growth will make a profitable contribution.
