Southampton’s heritage steamship SS Shieldhall has partnered with other attractions to offer groups best-value day visit packages.
In the Footsteps of Titanic’ takes place on 27 & 29 May, 17 June, 22 July, and 16-17 September, and costs £35.50pp.
Groups will spend a day in Southampton exploring the city's connections with the famous ocean liner Titanic. It includes a visit to the SeaCity Museum and its permanent Titanic Gallery; a guided walk with a Southampton Guide through the city's Titanic Quarter, hearing tales of the crew and passengers, and seeing the many Titanic memorials and buildings associated with the liner; and a cruise on Southampton Water on the SS Shieldhall. Passengers can visit the Engine Room and Boiler Room on Shieldhall, and meet the captain on the bridge.
The second group package, at £31pp, allows groups to experience vintage steam twice over, with a cruise on the SS Shieldhall combined with an evening visit to Hollycombe’s ‘Fairground at Night’ event on 16 September.
