A 32.7-mile sponsored run by Stagecoach in South Wales engineer Kevin Mathias and his fiancée Sarah raised almost £500 for the Rhondda Sea Cadets.
Stagecoach in South Wales agreed to match any money raised by the run from Merthyr Tydfil to Cardiff, with a cheque for almost £1,000 presented at the annual Sea Cadet meeting.
The couple decided to raise some money to help the organisation update equipment and possibly expand its facilities or help towards a relocation.
“The time and dedication that staff and volunteers give to the young cadets is truly remarkable,” says Kevin.
