Stagecoach South West has appointed Karen Hodder as its new Commercial Director.
She replaces Robert Williams, who left at the end of last year to take on the role of CEO at Reading Buses.
Karen previously worked at Wiltshire Council as its head of marketing, business management and events. She has worked extensively at a senior level in the private and public sector leading change and supporting new phases of business development.
Stagecoach South West Managing Director, Bob Dennison, says: “Karen has a wealth of knowledge across a number of sectors and we are delighted that she has chosen to join us.”
Karen adds: “I’m excited about the challenge and the opportunity to work for such a dynamic and exciting business.
“I look forward to playing my part in what already is a local success story.”
Karen, who is originally from Scotland, started her career at British Gas and has worked across multiple disciplines including sales, customer service and product management at a national level.
She also holds a BA in Business Studies and a CIM Diploma in Marketing.
