The Kings Ferry will serve as a dedicated brand to handle large-scale events transport and national key accounts for parent The Coach Travel Group.
In what is described as a strategic repositioning of the well-respected name, the owning group says that The Kings Ferry will sit at the centre of a national coordination model to focus on the delivery of scalable, high-quality transport solutions across the UK.
The Kings Ferry joined The Coach Travel Group in October 2025 as part of a multi-operator purchase from National Express. Under the new structure, it will act as a management hub, with all work coordinated through a single, unified system and delivered by the group’s operating businesses “alongside a trusted base of UK partner operators.”
Such an approach will enable each movement to utilise the most appropriate vehicles and resources, which The Coach Travel Group says will ensure efficiency and flexibility.
It adds that “true national coverage supported by strong local delivery” will also come out of the change. That represents what the group says is a strengthening of its ability to deliver large transport solutions with a single point of contact for clients.
The move forms part of a wider strategy by The Coach Travel Group to enhance collaboration across its operators and establish specialist functions to support national growth, operational efficiency, and long-term resilience.
Speaking about the development, Director of Group Commercial Matt Hobbs says: “Repositioning The Kings Ferry was a key step in how we evolve as a group. We are seeing increasing demand for coordinated, large-scale transport solutions, particularly across events, venues and national contracts.
“By placing The Kings Ferry at the centre of our model, we are creating a clear, dedicated function that brings together our network and systems. This gives our customers a single, trusted point of contact, backed by the scale and capability of the wider group.
“It enables us to be more agile and better equipped to deliver complex movements at a national level.”
