Claire Mann, TfL’s Director of Bus Operations, with Tim Porter, CEO of Trapeze Group in the UK

Transport technology provider Trapeze Group has been awarded the contract to deliver the first project in Transport for London’s Future Bus System (FBS) programme for a solution that will manages the capital’s bus routes and schedule data.

Trapeze’s NOVUS bus schedule data management solution, which already supports a number of Combined and Local Authorities across the UK, has been selected for the project. The group says NOVUS will enable TfL to simplify its systems and data processes in managing bus routes and schedules across London.

Tim Porter, Chief Executive Officer for Trapeze Group in the UK, says: “This project has extra significance in light of the Bus Services Act, which places specific focus on passenger information in the event of travel disruption.

“Combined and Local Authorities stand to benefit from Future Bus as the technology investment in NOVUS moves the entire bus industry forward in exciting new ways.”
