Operators visiting Southend are being urged to use the coach parking area at the Arriva garage, Short Street, as part of an agreement with Southend Borough Council.
It comes as drivers are parking in residential streets, with Southchurch Boulevard, Lifstan Way and Thorpe Hall Avenue among the most heavily affected areas with residents and business owners saying they have seen 10 coaches parked along the streets on occasions.
The issue is that Arriva’s parking has a charge, which on-street parking does not levy.
