The Innovation Challenge highlights the most significant new initiatives shaping the coach and bus sector.
It showcases developments that have launched within the last 12 months, including innovations to cut costs, increase safety, drive productivity and unlock future growth.
There are two award categories available, with suppliers competing for the Operators’ Choice and Judges’ Choice Awards.
Subscribers invited to have their say
routeone subscribers can vote for their favourite entry to give some of the sector’s most progressive suppliers an acknowledgement for their innovation. The entry with the most votes will win the Operators’ Choice Award.
Operators are encouraged to view the entries and vote for their favourite by 26 October. All votes will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher (terms apply).
The finals
Hosted by former chief reporter for BBC North West Tonight, Dave Guest, entrants will pitch their innovation to a panel of industry judges in the online finals, explaining why it’s worthy of an award. Judges include: Aaron Hill, director of CPT Cymru; Phil Hitchen, managing director, Belle Vue Manchester; Jon Eardley, managing director, Abellio London; and Chloe Leach O’Connell, consultant.
Entrants will have 90 seconds to impress. After which, the judges will decide who take home the gold, silver and bronze Judges’ Choice Awards.
Find out who will win
The winners of the routeone Innovation Challenge Judges’ Choice Awards and the Operators’ Choice Award, as voted for by subscribers, will be revealed on 3 November via the routeone website.
