Ian Warr has been appointed First UK Bus Engineering Director, from 1 May. The new position follows a group restructure that saw Technical Director Mark Munday leave the business.
Mr Warr joined First earlier this year supporting First’s joint venture to provide workers services for the new Hinkley Point nuclear power station, Somerset.
Says First Bus MD Giles Fearnley: “He will make a significant contribution to the business as we continue to put our customers at the heart of decision making and realise opportunities to improve our services.”
Mr Warr was previously Arriva London Regional Engineering Director, with a 2,000-strong fleet. His career started as a Royal Air Force engineer and he has worked for ComfortDelGro in London and Australia.
