End of the road for Kent-based Carol Peters

Kent operator Carol Peters Travel ceased trading suddenly on Thursday last week (16 January) due to “various” financial problems, The Isle of Thanet News has reported.

All coaches operated by the firm that were subject to finance agreements have been repossessed. Director Peter Howe told the newspaper that he and his wife Carol, who had run the company for 24 years, were “personally devastated” at the news.

The operator was authorised to operate 13 vehicles from a site in Ramsgate. It is understood that a number of holidays planned to operate in 2019 were cancelled after bookings had opened.
