Grettons Coaches of Peterborough has announced that it will cease operation after service on 3 April after 41 years in the industry.
In a statement, the company says that it made the decision solely because of the lease expiring on its current base.
It has been unable to find suitable alternative facilities despite searching for around a year. Premises able to accommodate its eight coaches, a workshop, an office and washing facilities in short supply, the company says.
Grettons Coaches has invited former employees and those who may be interested in purchasing vehicles or parts to attend an open day at its yard at the Arnwood Centre, Newark Road, PE1 5YH. It will be held on Saturday 4 April from 1000hrs.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day. A catalogue is available from rogergretton592@btinternet.com
