MP Travel adds a Plaxton for Megabus work

MP Travel of Warrington has kept the British end up by taking delivery of a Plaxton Panther-bodied Volvo B11R in Megabus livery.

The new coach comes after MP Travel secured a deal with Stagecoach’s scheduled coaching brand to operate a three times per week service between Manchester and London. It is a 12.6m model with 49 seats and it has been named Bussy Galore.

The Panther takes the Cheshire-based fleet to 14 vehicles while it celebrates its third anniversary. The coach follows other vehicles from Plaxton parent Alexander Dennis (ADL).

Says MD Garreth McAllister-Partridge: “I’m delighted with the way things have turned out and the relationship we have built with ADL. Its products deliver exactly what they promise, and the parts and service support is second to none.”

Mr McAllister-Partridge adds that scheduled coach work is “yet another dimension for our business and one that I am keen to expand.”
