Welsh’s Coaches of Pontefract has taken delivery of a Yutong GT12, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach (01924 227722).

Six seats have been removed to give a capacity of 47. That was specified by the operator to suit its requirement for additional legroom. A servery was fitted after arrival in the UK by AD Coach Systems, which also carried out the seat adjustment work.

Power is from a DAF MX-11 engine rated at 450bhp driving through a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox. The coach was painted in the striking livery ofm Welsh’s Coaches by Yutong at its Zhengzhou factory.

In Yutong’s UK coach range, the range-topping GT12 is complemented by the mid-sized TC9 and the larger TC12. Also offered is the zero-emission TCe12.
