The bollard in Preston featured in last weeks’ The Whisperer has admirable dedication to duty – they knock him down, and he gets up again. Eventually.

Strangely enough, the main culprits unseating the bollard are cars making the right turn from Fishergate to Corporation Street.

In fact, I can't recall a bus knocking it down yet – they don't make that turn.
