Team members at Go North East’s (GNE’s) Consett depot have shown that spirits are high and helped to raise £1500 for the Treetops Children’s Ward at University Hospital of North Durham with a special charity video.
Within the video, which shows GNE colleagues dancing to ‘House of Fun’ and ‘I Want to Break Free’ by Madness and Queen respectively, members spread a message asking people to continue to follow government guidance and stay at home in order to protect NHS and key workers.
Operations Manager Malcolm Davis, drivers Julie Ede and Steven Woodhead, Leading Driver Marco Montanarini and Union Chairperson Lynn Doolan can be seen at the end of the video having their heads shaved for charity.
Go North East Managing Director Martijn Gilbert says: “I’d like to thank everyone involved at our depot in Consett for their hard work and being able to get across this serious message in a fun and entertaining way.
“I’m also blown away by the kind-heartedness of colleagues across the company and beyond in donating money to various great causes.”
Donations can be made towards the cause at GNE’s Gofundme page.
