Staff at Bus Eireann have raised more than €25,000 in total for the Movember Foundation and the Irish Cancer Society.
It was the first year the company has participated in the Movember initiative to raise funds and awareness for men’s health.
Male drivers, mechanics, clerical and executives across Bus Éireann’s operation grew moustaches and other facial hair, hosted fundraising events and undertook physical challenges, including walks and cycle rides. Female staff also participated in fundraising, particularly with physical challenges.
“It is a fantastic achievement to raise such a large sum for this very worthy cause,” says Stephen Kent, Bus Éireann’s Chief Executive.
