Nigel Vickers has been appointed Group Head of Sales – Transport by Camira. He will lead the business’s global transport division and support continued growth across the coach, bus and rail markets.
Mr Vickers has almost four decades’ experience in the transport textiles sector. He joined Camira in 1988 and has played what the supplier says is “an instrumental role” in developing its transport fabrics offering.
Most recently he has been Head of Transport Fabrics Sales for the UK, Ireland and America, which leveraged longstanding customer relationships and contributed to the division’s commercial success across that tenure.
Speaking about the appointment, Camira Chief Revenue Officer Ben Gray says: “Nigel’s deep industry knowledge, longstanding customer relationships and unwavering commitment to Camira make him the ideal person to lead our transport division globally.
“His leadership will be key as we continue to strengthen our position in international markets and deliver high-performance textile solutions to our customers.”
