National Express West Midlands (NXWM) marked Victory in Europe (VE) Day on Friday 8 May with a number of activities on its social media channels, including a short video featuring 35 of its staff reciting Dame Vera Lynn’s iconic song ‘We’ll Meet Again’.
Drivers, Administrators and Managers each repeated a line from the war anthem in eight different languages.
NXWM further observed the two-minute silence 1100hrs.
National Express West Midlands Managing Director David Bradford says: “Over recent months the nation has faced some of the most challenging times since the Second World War, so now more than ever it’s important for us to pay tribute to the sacrifice of the entire generation who served.”
During the last few months of restricted travel NXWM has adjusted bus services to serve key workers and support social distancing for those making essential journeys.
