Optare has revealed plans to take its bus range to Eastern Europe with the appointment of Krystian Canew as Regional Sales Manager for the region.
Mr Canew joined Optare on 19 October. His CV includes time spent with Polish zero-emission bus manufacturing specialist Solaris and latterly in LCV sales via the Mercedes-Benz network.
He says: “I am delighted to be joining Optare. I have a passion for carbon-free transport, and I look forward to bringing the portfolio to Eastern Europe.”
Commercial Director Robert Drewery says Mr Canew’s appointment represents Optare’s first step in a European growth strategy. “Krystian’s experience will help us to build long-term partnerships with operators in Eastern Europe. He will be a key member of our team in the region,” adds Mr Drewery.
The unveiling of Krystian Canew by Optare is the Sherburn in Elmet manufacturer’s second Regional Sales Manager appointment during recent weeks. In September, Stephen Walsh joined in the same position to cover Scotland and East of England.
