Stagecoach East Midlands has appointed Kerry Ryan as Operations Manager to join its senior management team.
Kerry has joined the company after working for Hull City Council for 18 years.
Kerry was previously responsible for managing the transport network including public transport, tenders, concessionary fares and the Hull Bus Interchange.
Speaking of her new role, Kerry says: “When the chance came up to work for a nationally recognised company like Stagecoach, I felt it was too good an opportunity to miss.
“I am eager to continue helping the company to move forward in what remains a very competitive industry."
The new role will see her have day-to-day responsibility for 300 staff and 129 vehicles.
The appointment comes after significant network growth in the last few years. With the introduction of the Simplibus service in 2015, the company has recently invested a further £2.7 million in a fleet of 15 new double decker buses for the Hull transport network.
Stagecoach East Midland’s Managing Director, Michelle Hargreaves, says: “We are confident that Kerry’s skills and vast experience will be a great benefit to the company.”
