Andrew Scott, Director of County Durham-based Stanley Travel, is cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Heel & Toe Children's Charity.
Starting on 25 July, Andrew will cycle 982 miles from the bottom of the UK to the top, covering around 100 miles a day. His shortest day will be 92 miles, and the longest will be 108 miles.
He says: “Since the 1960s the End-to-End has become the epic British cycle ride and the bucket list 'must do' for those who decide to take it on.
“I'm not underestimating this 10-day ride across Britain, and I will give it the respect it deserves.
“I've ran half marathons, full marathons and open water swims for charity, but I believe this will be my toughest challenge to date. I'm saddling up for an unforgettable adventure and a huge personal achievement.”
Heel & Toe provides free conductive education therapy to children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities in the North East of England. It has been Stanley Travel's chosen charity for several years.
