Solveig Ellila Kristiansen has been announced as the new CEO of Ticketer-owned FARA.
Solveig brings experience from several IT companies including time spent as General Manager for Dell Norway and Iceland. In her new role, she will focus on the company’s international expansion.
Solveig says: “I am excited to join FARA. With increasing environmental challenges, public transport is becoming an increasingly important solution. In addition, passengers’ expectations are increasing with a demand for real-time information and account-based ticketing. Public transport will become more digital to make travel easy.”
John Clarfelt, Ticketer CEO, adds: “Following Solveig’s appointment, Ørjan Kirkefjord will move into a new role, focusing on driving sales, innovation and customer satisfaction in the Nordics. We owe Ørjan a huge debt of gratitude.
“We are absolutely delighted that Solveig has joined the FARA/Ticketer family for the next stage of our growth. These are very exciting times for FARA and Ticketer.”
Ticketer acquired the Norwegian ticketing company last year in a move to expand into mainland Europe. FARA has offices in Poland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
