Wrightbus has appointed Harry Tinson as Sales Director for Parts and Services. Mr Tinson joins from JCB, where he most recently led its parts and service team for three years during which it achieved record sales. He has enjoyed an almost ten-year career in the heavy equipment manufacturing industry prior to joining the bus sector.
Mr Tinson recently received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Warwick. He describes himself as being “thrilled to join the business at a key period, where I can bring my experience of leading global aftermarket sales teams, providing me with an excellent opportunity to build on an already impressive growth.”
Wrightbus Managing Director for Parts and Services Ian Gillott adds: “Harry is a super appointment. I am absolutely delighted that he has joined the Wrightbus team, especially during such an exciting period of growth for us.
“I know that Harry will be key in our continued drive to transform customer service and experience and deliver it beyond all expectations.”
Harry Tinson joins Wrightbus shortly after the resurgent Ballymena business signed a deal to build an initial 120 StreetDeck Electroliner battery-electric double-deckers for Ireland’s National Transport Authority out of a framework procurement for up to 800 such buses over five years, and the announcement of a deal with Australian bodybuilder Volgren.
