The Department for Transport (DfT) has published its summary of responses to last autumn’s consultation on amendments to permissible vehicle weights and dimensions. The majority of the responses were in favour of raising the GVW for 2-axle coaches to 19.5T and for 3-axle coaches to 26.5T. The DfT is likely to approve the increases later this year.
