DVSA is seeking coach and bus operators to take part in its Earned Recognition pilot scheme.
To be eligible, you must be able to demonstrate high standards of compliance. You must also have held an O-Licence for at least two years; have had no regulatory action other than warnings from a TC for two years; and have an electronic management system for maintenance and drivers’ hours that tracks your KPIs and reports exceptions automatically.
Eligible operators must also ensure that their IT supplier has registered its systems with DVSA and can report KPIs. Participants must also meet DVSA audit standards; an audit is chargeable to the operator, and not DVSA.
During the pilot, operators will not be permitted to disclose that they are taking part and roadside enforcement offices will be unaware of the identities of participants.
DVSA officials will be at this week’s CV Show at the NEC Birmingham to discuss Earned Recognition and the pilot scheme.
