Aquarius IT has launched its Licence Check tool that is integrated into the supplier’s ClockWatcher Elite compliance platform.
Unlike previous third-party plugins, the new solution has been built by Aquarius IT’s in-house developers to work seamlessly within ClockWatcher Elite’s Driver Hub.
Licence Check links directly with the supplier’s suite of driver compliance tools. With a single login and everything displayed on one screen, Aquarius says that transport managers “gain a complete, real-time view of each driver’s compliance data record” to streamline workflows, support decision-making, and cut the administrative burden.
The tool accesses DVLA data including driving entitlements and penalty points to speeding occurrences, disqualifications, conviction dates, endorsements, Driver CPC hours, and expiry dates.
Aquarius adds that set-up is easy, and licence checks can be scheduled with built-in alerts for drivers with endorsements or changes to licence status. The product also aids recruitment by verifying credentials in real-time, as well as helping insurance processes, the supplier believes.
Says Managing Director Mark Johnston: “Compliance is a moving target, and the more joined-up your data, the better positioned you are to keep up.
“With this latest development, we are giving operators the ability to track licence data with the same level of clarity and control they already have with their driver and vehicle data. It is another important step in our continuing aims to simplify compliance and reduce risk through smart digital tools.”
Aquarius recommends conducting driving licence checks every three months, with a more frequent approach for higher-risk drivers. It notes that while no fixed legal frequency exists, being able to demonstrate consistent, risk-based checks is critical to compliance and reputation.
Director of Development Neil Chetwynd says: “We have developed out integrated Licence Check to help operators manage compliance in one place alongside other driver data – securely, efficiently, and in line with best practice.
“It quickly brings everything from licence checks and drivers’ hours to incidents and defects into a single digital workflow, reducing risk, saving time, and eliminating the need to switch between systems or spreadsheets.”
