CMAC, one of the UK’s leading providers of ground transport and accommodation solutions, works with over 3,000 coach, minibus and taxi operators.
The company prides itself on working in partnership with these suppliers, providing incremental business for a fair price.
One of the biggest operational management challenges the company has overcome was finding an effective method of paying non-account suppliers. The high volume and random nature of payments meant that CMAC’s credit card providers frequently blocked transactions suspecting them to be fraudulent.
Last year CMAC worked with Barclaycard to integrate its bespoke booking system with precisionpay, a virtual credit card solution that allows CMAC to provide a unique card number with a defined credit limit and an expiry date for each job and reduces the likelihood and extent of fraudulent activity.
CMAC was one of the first companies in the UK to integrate its system with precisionpay, which now ensures prompt payment for suppliers.
