Following a market evaluation, Henley-in-Arden-based Johnsons Coach and Bus Travel has opted for LEVL Telematics’ Geotab solution.
The operator received an immediate return even during the pilot stage of the project, says Fleet Maintenance Manager John Hatch.
“Within that pilot, Geotab detected a faulty gearbox on a coach that was due to depart on a European tour. The defect was detected remotely and that enabled us to repair it in our workshop prior to departure – possibly saving us thousands of pounds,”
Although Johnsons had an existing telematics product that included tracking and monitoring, it was keen to see a state-of-the-art solution that encompasses advanced fuel reports and comprehensive remote diagnostics with fault descriptions.
Geotab delivers on those, along with emissions reporting and a driver performance dashboard tool. It can be fitted to a wide variety of vehicle types.
