Compliance is king at Fareham-based Lucketts Travel and that, says the operator, is why it has chosen to stick with the TruControl PSV package supplied by TruTac.
TruTac says it is one of the few tachograph analysis companies whose software can process digital scans of analogue charts without requiring the centre field information to be inputted manually.
Lucketts’ fleet is almost entirely equipped with digital tachographs, but that’s still a plus, says Director Ian Luckett.
“We’ve been using TruControl PSV since around 2010, having found issues with other systems in the way that they were interpreting the EC drivers’ hours regulations,” he says, with overseas tours causing particular problems.
“We work with a compliance solicitor who recommended TruTac as the better product on the market because it gives true results on a first sift-through.”
TruTac continues to develop its software offering as legislation changes and it is open to suggestions from users.
TruControl PSV is a cloud-based system that does not encounter downtime for updates and can be viewed anywhere via an internet connection. TruTac can also train staff on the software.
