Transport management technology specialist Mandata has developed a smartphone app to improve the way that drivers capture and record daily vehicle checks.
It logs the start and finish times of checks, recording inspections that take less than a specified time to complete. Missed inspections are also reported.
Results, and photos, are saved immediately, allowing repairs to be planned.
The app is suitable for Android and iPhone devices and it can be used even when there is no internet connection, because details are stored on the device.
