Passenger has been awarded the contract for a new Intalink website by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC). It is part of HCC’s adoption of an Enhanced Partnership model with operators.
The Intalink website will act as a focal point for passenger information within the county. Working with HCC’s partners Hogia, Journeo and Systra, Passenger will lead the delivery of the county-wide journey planning and real-time information hub. It will combine the services of 25 operators.
HCC awarded the contract following a competitive tendering process. Passenger’s “experience in the public transport arena and the success of projects it has completed with other authorities” was the reason for its success, says HCC Passenger Transport Manager Matt Lale.
“We are certainly looking forward to working with Passenger. We have a complete commitment to providing our residents with services that benefit them. A large part of that begins with having access to passenger transport information that is easy to use.”
HCC’s Enhanced Partnership arrangement will improve and enhance the county’s existing bus network, infrastructure and service delivery, including via the smarter use of data and information.
